Xi Hu Longjing (West Lake Dragon Well) S Grade

Tea leave appearance had some yellowish tinge to them. For Xi Hu (West Lake) tea leaves, they should be a bit plump or fatter with darker hues of green. Tea was fine however my expectations may be overplayed as I expected Xi Hu (West Lake) standards. I used Evian water to brew at between 85-88 degree. Colour was pale golden green. Good after taste. I would have given it a 5 stars if the astringency is much better controlled and if the umami better. Tried 2020 crop which personally I feel is much superior.

Green candies

Lingering minerality, with a nice finish. Calming essence, and alot of dragon wellness!
