A very distinctive taste and very smokey. My first impression was not particularly good, however, every tea brews differently and now I have worked out the best way to get the most out of the tea, I quite enjoy it as a daily drinker. After storing the tea in a sealed box with 69% humidity for the past couple of months, the tea is starting to give more in terms of flavour. The smokiness is minimised with shorter brews from a gaiwan initially and after the first few infusions it gives way to a very smooth aged raw puerh taste. This carries through over multiple infusions with increasingly longer steep times.
