The ‘7581’ series, known for its manual fermentation process (Wo Dui), follows a blend recipe from 1975, predominantly using 8th grade tea materials. It is produced in the Kunming tea factory.
Taste Profile:
The tea is characterized by its sweetness and smoothness, coupled with a mellow aged character.
Recommendation:
Highly recommended for experienced tea drinkers looking to enhance their tea experience.
This tea has been stored naturally in Guangzhou, and it may have a slight wet storage aroma. However, this does not impact its taste and flavor.
Note:
If you are sensitive to this aspect, please proceed with caution.
Until approximately 2005 to 2007, Pu-erh tea was not as popular and widely accepted as it is today. Consequently, everyone from producers and dealers to collectors didn’t emphasize much on proper storage conditions. This oversight is a primary reason why one might find impurities in the tea, including sunflower seed shells, hairs, and even cigarette butts.
Particularly in Guangdong Province, the prolonged summers with high humidity and temperatures can easily impart a ‘wet storage’ character to the tea, rendering it unsuitable for consumption. For this reason, we ourselves choose not to drink such tea.
