This tea, crafted by the BaiShaXi Tea Factory in 2003, was produced under the renowned CNNP brand. It is made using "Hei Cha" (dark tea) leaves, sourced from tea plantations in Hunan province.
The tea leaves are notably rough, displaying aged colors that are characteristic of high-quality dark tea. Upon brewing, the tea reveals a clean liquor with a unique blend of brown and red hues. The flavor is thick, smooth, and mellow, with a subtle sweetness. Notably, this tea exhibits minimal bitterness and astringency. After drinking, it leaves a pleasant sensation in the mouth, encouraging the production of saliva.
This tea has been stored naturally in Guangzhou, allowing its flavors to mature and deepen over time.
Brewing Method:
-
For a straightforward preparation, take 7-15 grams of the dry tea leaves and steep them in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Then, separate the tea water from the leaves to enjoy the drink. Alternatively, you can enhance the tea by adding milk and a hint of salt in a ratio of 5:1 (water to milk).
-
For a more traditional experience, steep the tea using the Gongfu tea method, similar to how ripe (shou/shu) Pu-erh tea is prepared. This method allows for a deeper exploration of the tea's complex flavors and aromas.
