This is a classic Yixing “Ai Li” (矮梨 / Plump Pear-shaped) teapot, a well-balanced member of the traditional round ware (圆器) family. Crafted from high-quality Zi Ni purple clay, the piece exhibits a warm, earthy brownish-purple tone with fine, natural speckling and a smooth yet slightly sandy texture.

The design features a generously plump, low-slung spherical body that sits stably on the table, giving it a sense of generous fullness and visual harmony. The short, straight spout is cleanly proportioned for smooth pouring, while the comfortable circular loop handle provides excellent grip and balance.
