“7452” belongs to one of the first group tea stared using Mark Number consist of the creation year of recipe + grade of tea material + No. of tea factory. In 1950’s, Menghai tea factory started using three grades to define the round tea according to the grades of tea material. 甲级JiaJi used the highest grades, 乙级YiJi used the middle grades and 丙级BingJi used the lowest grades. Here grades mostly mean young, old, slim, strong, bud, leaf etc. In 1976 year, for easy managing of so many tea products, the Mark Number was started to using from then on. At that time, 7432 as a series of sheng cha firstly called and it belongs to JiaJi the highest grades of tea material. The corresponding shou cha 7452, here it is. Till the birth of 7262 in middle of 1990’s (around 1996year), 7452 had always been the most high-end tea during whole shou cha group.
In 2006 year, for the commemoration of 30 years’ anniversary of using Mark Number, DaYi updated it’s recipe and firstly published this products again after Menghai tea factory was privatized.
DaYi has ever put red ribbon into some batches (not in every batch and every year).
As introduced above, this recipe was created in 1974 year and tea materials mainly used is 5th grade. The last “2” means Menghai tea factory listed as No. 2 between 4 big national tea factories.
