Product Overview

Harvested in early spring 2026 from the prestigious Puerh tea regions of Yunnan, this "Yin Si" (Silver Thread) is a good example of Dian Lv (Yunnan Green Tea). Unlike the delicate small-leaf cultivars of Eastern China, this tea is crafted from the Large-Leaf species (Daye Zhong). It offers a more robust body and a deeper complexity, combining the freshness of a green tea with the structural power of Yunnan’s ancient tea lineage.

Sensory Profile

  • Appearance: Tightly twisted, slender "threads" heavily adorned with silvery-white pekoe (down). The leaves are a vibrant, oily emerald green.

  • Aroma: A bold, refreshing bouquet featuring high-mountain "tender" notes, toasted chestnut, and a distinct nutty soybean fragrance.

  • Palate: The liquor is a brilliant yellowish-green. It is remarkably thick and "slick" on the tongue, offering a crisp, umami-rich sweetness.

  • Finish: Fast-acting huigan (returning sweetness) and strong shengjin (salivation). It possesses the unique "wildness" of Yunnan terroir, maintaining its flavor profile far longer than standard green teas.

Technical Specifications

  • Harvest: Pre-Qingming 2026 (One bud, one leaf).

  • Storage: Seal in an airtight, opaque container. Refrigeration (05°C) is highly recommended to lock in the volatile aromatic oils and prevent the silver down from oxidizing.

  • Shelf Life: 18 months.

Brewing Recommendations

Because this is a Large-Leaf species, it is much more resilient and "durable" than other green teas:

  • Water Quality: Mineral or soft filtered water.

  • Temperature: 80–85°C (176–185°F). While robust, boiling water can still cause the tender buds to become overly astringent.

  • Method (Gongfu or Tall Glass): Use 4g of tea per 150ml.

    1. Fill 1/3 with water, add leaves, and swirl to "awaken" the buds.

    2. Fill the remainder and watch the "Silver Threads" unfurl.

  • Steeping: This tea is exceptionally durable. It can be enjoyed for 6–8 infusions, with the sweetness evolving and deepening in each subsequent steep.
