"Yu Shang" (Royal / Tribute Tuo) is a series designed as high-end level according to refined blend recipe.

Typical refreshing sweetness with richness.

Still needs some time, but good XG quality

I have the 2006 version of this, and it's a really solid XG production. The 2012 version is in that middle period and needs some time to turn (as of writing at the start of 2021). It bears all the hallmarks of what a tea needs to age well though.

Right now, I get more of a vine-leaf and olive stone bitterness that doesn't turn to sweetness, floral or grassier notes come in but are behind a bitter curtain around steep 3 or 4. I should possibly reduce the leaf and adjust my brewing parameters... It is nice in its own way, but if you want a sweeter brew, go for the older model.
