Tea Profile
At a glance: 2026 early spring (pre-Qingming) · Green tea · A++++ grade · Handmade (Shou Gong) · Zhejiang
- Dry leaf: Flat, smooth and straight sword-shaped leaves, hand-fired in a wok.
- Liquor: The liquor is a pale, shimmering yellowish-green.
- Aroma: Toasted soybean up front, with an airy chestnut sweetness and a hint of orchid.
- Taste: The first sips are crisp and naturally sweet, with "spring water" clarity. Through the middle infusions it shows a pure, umami-rich character without harsh astringency, and toward the finish a clean, sweet note lingers on the palate.
- Mouthfeel & body: Silky and light, with quick salivation (sheng jin).
- Best for: improving your tea experience — a fine pre-Qingming Long Jing for slow glass brewing. A natural step up for a newcomer to green tea.
Brewing Guide
- Ratio: about 3g of tea per 150ml of water.
- Water: 80–85°C (176–185°F). Avoid boiling water, which scalds the tender leaves.
- Steps:
- Pour a little water into a tall glass to wet the leaves and release the aroma.
- Wait about 30 seconds, then fill the glass to about 70%.
- Watch the leaves hang upright in the water.
- Drink once most of the leaves have settled.
- Top up when a third of the water is left; it gives 3–4 good infusions.
Storage
Keep it sealed and airtight in the refrigerator, away from light, heat and strong-smelling food. Let the bag come to room temperature before opening so no moisture gets in. Shelf life: 18 months.
