This Yixing "Rong Tian" teapot, crafted from the esteemed Duan Ni clay, is a paragon of traditional Chinese tea culture. At a modest 110ml capacity, it is ideally sized for the Gongfu tea ceremony, allowing for the intimate appreciation of the tea's evolving flavors across multiple infusions.

The Duan Ni clay, recognizable by its raw ore golden hue, is celebrated for its porosity due to the high ratio of large particles within the material. This characteristic promotes excellent air permeability, enhancing the tea's breathability during brewing and thereby its ultimate expression.

The "Rong Tian" design presents a harmonious blend of form and function. Its stout silhouette ensures a robust interaction with the tea leaves, making it particularly suitable for the brewing of Sheng Puerh, Dark tea, Black tea, and Green tea. It's recommended to refrain from using this teapot for Tie Guan Yin or Taiwanese Oolong, as these teas require a different interaction with their vessel to fully release their aromatic profiles.

Each teapot we offer is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the individual craftsperson, ensuring its unique heritage and craftsmanship. The presence of the artisan's stamp on multiple areas of the teapot not only serves as a hallmark of authenticity but also as a testament to the meticulous attention to detail paid throughout the creation process.

In assessing the quality of our Yixing teapots, we consider several critical factors:

  1. Appearance: We examine the teapot's alignment, ensuring it is neither crooked nor tilted, and assess the naturalness of its color and the earthiness of its scent. Any unpleasant odors from packaging materials can be remedied through thorough cleaning processes, such as boiling or brewing tea in the pot.

  2. Certificate from Author: The presence of the craftsperson's stamp is scrutinized, distinguishing each teapot as a work of art rather than a mass-produced item. These marks of authenticity should correspond with those detailed in the certificate of authenticity.

  3. Water Flow: We evaluate the smoothness and speed of the water flow, which should be seamless and unhindered.

  4. Tea Brewing, Temperature Keeping: The teapot's ability to retain heat and extract the essence of the tea is rigorously tested, ensuring that it performs exceptionally in providing a full-flavored tea experience.

Every aspect of this teapot has been considered to contribute to the ceremonial tea experience, from its material and design to the very essence of its creation. It stands not only as a vessel for brewing but also as an artifact of cultural significance, embodying the spirit of Chinese Gongfu Chadao.
