Appearance & Craftsmanship:

This competition-grade A+++ Lu'an Guapian is harvested in Spring 2026 from the traditional "Tu Zhong" (indigenous heirloom population) tea bushes nestled in the core mountainous regions of Anhui Province.

The dry leaves exhibit an authentic traditional profile: flat, slightly curled along the edges, and shaped distinctively like melon seeds. Following the rigorous and unique processing legacy of Lu'an Guapian, the leaves are completely budless and stemless, consisting entirely of plump, individually plucked single leaves.

The coloration is a deep, complex mosaic of dark forest green and glossy jade rather than a superficial bright green—a visual hallmark of high-altitude heirloom varieties covered in a subtle, natural frosted sheen.

Flavor Profile & Mechanism:

Driven by the deep root systems of the indigenous cultivar and the critical variable of traditional charcoal baking (La Huo), this green tea bypasses the raw grassy astringency common in standard green teas.

The robust, dark-green single leaves carry a dense concentration of amino acids and polyphenols, yielding a structured liquor filled with high-toned roasted chestnut aromas and undertones of wild orchid.

The infusion brews clear and bright green, delivering a bold, full-bodied palate accompanied by a swift, lingering sweet return (Hui Gan).

Its steep-endurance vastly outperforms modern clonal varieties, representing the peak of high-mountain heirloom Lv Cha.

Tips for Storage and Enjoyment

To preserve the exquisite quality of your Lu An Gua Pian, proper storage is key.

  • Storage: Keep your tea in an airtight, opaque container away from direct sunlight, moisture, and strong odors. A cool, dark pantry is ideal. For longer-term storage, you can refrigerate or freeze the tea, ensuring it's in a well-sealed package to prevent moisture absorption.

  • Brewing: For the best experience, we recommend using water around 80-85°C (175-185°F). Use about 3-5 grams of tea per 150ml of water. Steep for 1-2 minutes for the first infusion, then adjust steeping time for subsequent infusions to your personal preference. Lu An Gua Pian can be infused multiple times, revealing different nuances with each steep.
