It's been 5 years since I have purchased Da Hong Pao for no reason other than, I have been drinking GREEN tea, I'm glad I got this tea from KING TEA because it was everything I could hope for in a tea of this kind. I would recommend this Da Hong Pao tea.

The nose on the dry leaves is intoxicating. The tea has a sweet, floral-fruity, calming and inviting flavor. A top-shelf, pinnacle hongcha. I brewed mine in a Luni Yixing pot. Good pairing.

Overall, a nice herbal tea; it was generally smooth to drink with no bitterness or medicinal taste. It also had a surprising twist when you drank cold water after drinking it - it became sweet but this oddity was unique - and really only lasted for the first infusion of the tea. It did well with multiple infusions of this vine tea. If you are looking to try something a bit different without caffeine then this is worth a try. The only complaint has nothing to do with the tea but with the cost of shipping which was expensive.

Lighter on the color scale but packed full of dried fruits flavor, very strong aroma. I like to brew 6g, 5-10 pots at 96C, 120ml each.

This tea is somewhat bitter, and I usually like sweet and floral. I still liked it anyway. In a gongfu session it's doesn't go through a remarkable set of flavor profiles. It started out a bit herbaceous, probably due to its youth, then it tuned woody and rich and maybe just hint of smoke that was really fabulous. Turned dark quickly after the first few steeps. And finally finished maybe a bit mineral, but nicely so. I thought it really shone when I tried a few grams steeped in a cup with a ceramic strainer for a few minutes. This little cake seemed to be well aged for its years, compression tight and it's bit hard to get tea knife into it. It really is outside my normal "comfort zone" for flavor profile, yet I find myself making cup after cup of it. Very strong, but not overpowering. Really gives you a lift when you drink it. You should throw in a sample or one of these small cakes with an order and try it. I can't see many people not liking this. I think the worst that can happen is that it won't be one of your favorites, but it turned out to be one of mine in spite of myself.

For such a good price how could you not get one and see what the excitement is about! Delicious and easy to drink dark black goodness that is the v93. Two thumbs way up.

I’ve had vine tea before, so I knew to expect some bitterness up front. This 2026 batch starts with that familiar slight bitter note, but what makes it stand out is how quickly it turns into an intense sweetness. The aftertaste is long-lasting and keeps building after each sip.

The sweetness lingered so much that even water tasted sweet afterward. Compared to other vine teas I’ve tried, this one felt smoother and had a stronger returning sweetness. If you’re a fan of vine tea and appreciate that balance of bitterness followed by a sweet finish, this is a great one.

I really enjoyed this tea. It went through a varied flavor profile throughout the steeps. I'm not going to try to describe them all, as I'm not very good at it. If you are familiar with Bulang tea, then you will not be disappointed. I found the sample I tried was fairly well compressed, yet it was easy to pry apart without breaking leaves, and it opened up fairly quickly. Not sure how they managed that. This tea also has a notable cha qi, which I found myself becoming distracted and over brewed a couple steeps, though not too terribly. For such a young sheng, it was very drinkable, even in the later steeps. Steep times in seconds (10,15,20,25,30,40,50,60,75,90,180) At the end I tried steeping it for around three minutes just to see what would happen and it was still quite good. You should buy a sample of this and try it if you like Bulang tea.

The evolution throughout the session is fascinating, affecting both flavor and state. The session starts with sweet, floral, and dried fruit notes, which gradually shift into a noble camphor profile. Bitterness is completely gone due to aging, replaced entirely by a rich, lingering sweetness (Hui Gan).

The Cha Qi is deep and potent — offering a mild alertness mid-session, followed by a profound sense of relaxation and inner peace toward the end. Highly recommend this vintage piece, and big thanks to KTM for keeping the price so reasonable

Outstanding dianhong, bright, malty, super sweet. Thick in the mouth, calming and energizing. When I wanted a Fengqing dianhong at its best, I found it here.

I like the portion control, not having to break apart a cake or tuo, though thats nice too.

Очень долго и усердно искал другу подарок на день рождения. Он чайный знаток и любитель, а также ценит презентабельность. Бюджет был ограничен, поэтому я не в силах был купит слишком дорогой подарок. Нужна была золотая середина. Я нашёл невероятно презентабельный и доступный чай в этом магазине, а также этот чай с историей и знаменательным событием, что придаёт ему ценность. По вкусу не могу сказать, не пробовал лично. Также в придачу заказал нож/шило для колки чая. Выглдяит потрясающе. Магазин порекомендовал отправить товары отдельно на случай, если в таможне возникнут вопросы по поводу ножа. Ребята знают своё дело и нюансы. Сделали всё быстро и чётко.

This starts with a light, almost (but not) fruity flavor, turns woody and then finishes with I don’t know, maybe an orchid like flavor. A lighter tea, but even though I like it strong, this really has a remarkably good flavor. Zero funk. Tastes like something from good conditions. I also tried it "Grandpa style". The mug was delicious. Reasonable price range for the quality, but I just can't buy everything I try.

Sometimes I order from other suppliers in China, but I always happily come back to this store. They know their teas and they have great quality for a good price!
