2009 ChenShengHao

Sheng (raw) puerh made by ChenShengHao in 2009, now with more than fifteen years of age. ChenShengHao is a Menghai brand best known for its Laobanzhang and Nannuo teas.

The Year of the Ox is marked by Niu, a 500g cake. Lao Ban Zhang comes as a 200g brick. From Yiwu there are two 400g cakes: Yi Wu Da Shu (Yiwu Big Tree) and Yi Wu Fu Yuan Chang Hao, a cake of Yiwu tea named after an old tea house.

House cakes of 400g are Chen Xiang Sheng Hua (Upgraded Aged Flavor), Chen Sheng Yi Hao (No.1 Cake) and Ba Wang Qing Bing (King Green Cake). Most cakes this year are 400g, a size ChenShengHao used often in its early years, before 357g became its usual size. Long storage has given these cakes a darker color and a rounder, sweeter taste.
