2002 MengKu RongShi
Sheng (raw) puerh made by MengKu RongShi in 2002, now with more than twenty years of age. MengKu RongShi is a tea factory in the Mengku area of Lincang, known for teas from Bingdao and other Lincang villages.
Meng Ku Hao is a 400g cake made from spring leaves of the Mengku tea region in Lincang. The leaves are tightly pressed and show many tea hairs, a sign of good spring material. It has been aged in natural Guangzhou storage, where warm, humid weather helps raw puerh change slowly and evenly.
When brewed, the leaves open to give a clear, bright liquor. The taste is full and smooth, with the deeper notes that only come with long storage, while the strength of Mengku tea is still there. MengKu RongShi teas from the early 2000s are now rare, so this is a good tea for drinkers who want to know how the brand's raw tea ages. It is sold as a sample of 9g, as a single cake or as a stack of seven. King Tea Mall is an online shop based in Guangzhou, China.
