This tea has tea oil stained wrapper and it happens on each of them. It doesn't affect the quality and taste at all. Please note that before order.

The photos of this tea were taken soon after the production, so it shows clean wrapper.

"Si Hao" series was initiated in 2006 year with order from FT tea company. On blend recipe it can be traced back to the "Purple Dayi - 7542" in 2001 year published by Menghai tea factory when they were both belonged to national organization CNNP group.  During lineup of XG, it should be one of the most similar one on taste and flavor with tea from Dayi.

Tight and neat tea threads with great appearance and wooden flavor.

Clear tea liquor color with brightness and density.

Some sweetness with smoky flavor.

Rich, smooth and mellow with roundness on taste.

Medium to light level bitterness and astringency.

Great on Hui Gan and saliva producing.

Resilient and soft and well balanced.

Well recommended for improving tea experience.

Storage:

Guangzhou natural storage.

I drank this for the first time today after receiving it a few days ago. I enjoyed it very much. It doesn’t have a flavor that’s very distinctive in any particular way, but even though it’s an iron-pressed cake and I couldn’t manage to chisel off a chunk without creating a lot of dust, it didn’t get overly bitter or astringent. If you’re looking for a “daily drinker”, look no further. However, if you’re looking for something with a particularly “interesting” flavor, this might not be what you’re looking for. I will be interested in seeing whether this tastes different after acclimating to my storage for a few weeks.
