Sensory Journey

  • Dry Leaf: Tight, uniform strips with prominent golden hairs; lustrous black-brown hue dotted with abundant golden blooms. A gentle sniff reveals pure, intense aged aroma.
  • Liquor: Vivid red, bright and concentrated.
  • Palate: Enters thick yet silky, unfolding into sweet, refreshing mellowness laced with pronounced fungal fragrance and profound aged depth—an embodiment of time’s gentle alchemy.
  • Leaf Base: Tender, elastic, evenly red-brown; moderate fermentation preserves vitality.

Brewing Note Patiently rewards gongfu-style sessions or all-day grandpa steeps; the golden blooms soften into a velvety embrace that lingers long after the final sip.

Background: Liu Bao Tea flourished during the Tang and Song Dynasties and peaked during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Thanks to the thriving waterway transport, Liu Bao Tea has been exported in large quantities to Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Macau through the famous "Tea Boat Ancient Road" from the Qing Dynasty to recent years. In Hong Kong and Macau, the "tea-drinking" culture is prevalent, from morning tea to afternoon tea breaks at work to late-night tea, making it a daily routine. To this day, people in Hong Kong and Macau still love drinking tea, especially the mild Liu Bao Tea, which is particularly favored and is a staple in Hong Kong and Macau tea houses and teahouses.

Every year, numerous tea enthusiasts from Hong Kong and Macau visit Guangxi Wuzhou Tea Factory Co., Ltd. to explore the secrets of Liu Bao Tea's "Sanhe Tea Charm." To repay the deep affection of Liu Bao Tea enthusiasts in Hong Kong and Macau over the years, we are now launching the new Sanhe product, "Gang Ao Yun."
