  • Dry leaf: Large, tight, well-curled leaves.
  • Aroma: Orchid floral.
  • Liquor: Bright golden-green.
  • Taste: Sweet and smooth, with a refreshing tea flavor.
  • Mouthfeel & body: Smooth through the throat.
  • Aftertaste: Strong hui gan and saliva production, with a finish that keeps changing.
  • Good to know: Batch updated February 10, 2026; better than the previous A++++ lot at the same price.
  • Best for: Everyday drinking. This Tie Guan Yin oolong is easy to enjoy, and a friendly choice for beginners.

Brewing Guide

  1. Use a gaiwan or small pot, about 5–6g per 100ml.
  2. Heat water to about 95°C (203°F).
  3. Rinse once quickly and pour the rinse away.
  4. Steep 10 seconds for the first infusion so the leaves can open, then 5–10 seconds, adding about 5 seconds each time.
  5. Pour into a fair cup before serving.

These numbers are a starting point. Try shorter or longer steeps and see what you like best.

Storage

Keep it sealed and airtight, away from light, heat and strong odors. Refrigeration helps keep the fresh floral character; let the bag reach room temperature before opening so no moisture gets in.

About the Leaf

Not every bag shows these, but you may notice them:

  • Some fine pieces: normal for rolled oolong and harmless.
  • Leaves open up a lot: the rolled leaves expand to whole leaves, so a small amount fills the pot.

Vibrant Floral Elegance with a Silky Finish

A delightfully crisp and refreshing Oolong with classic floral orchid notes and a sweet, buttery finish. The fresh ("Zheng Wei") roast profile keeps the liquid vibrant yellow-green with a rich, aromatic nose. It holds up remarkably well across 5+ steeps, maintaining its delicate creaminess throughout.

Slightly easy to over-steep into minor bitterness if left too long in hot water, but when brewed carefully via Gongfu, it's an exceptional daily drinker.
