Description of Ai Jiao Oolong Tea:

Harvest Time: The Ai Jiao Oolong is meticulously handpicked in the early spring, ensuring the selection of only the youngest and most tender leaves. This harvest time is crucial, as it captures the essence of spring’s freshness in every leaf.

Roasting Process: Employing a traditional roasting method, this tea undergoes a medium-level roast. This careful roasting process accentuates the tea’s natural flavors, imparting a rich and robust aroma while maintaining a delicate balance that doesn’t overpower the inherent qualities of the tea leaves.

Taste Profile: Ai Jiao Oolong boasts a unique taste that is a symphony of subtle floral notes, intertwined with hints of sweet fruitiness. Its medium roast contributes a light caramel undertone, adding depth and complexity to the flavor palette. The tea offers a smooth and velvety mouthfeel, leaving a lingering, pleasant aftertaste that invites another sip.

Characteristics: Known for its ‘short foot’ - a reference to the short stems of the tea plants from which it is harvested - Ai Jiao Oolong is a true gem among oolong teas. This specific variety thrives in the unique terroir of its region, which imparts distinct mineral undertones and a rich, earthy body to the tea.

Experience: Each cup of Ai Jiao Oolong is an exquisite journey that begins with a mesmerizing aroma, followed by a rich tapestry of flavors that unfold gradually, revealing layers of complexity. This tea is not just a beverage but an experience that celebrates the art of tea making and the timeless traditions of oolong tea cultivation.

Substantial

This came together with my order of the Bai Ruixiang, and it's not that easy...it's a substantial taste, darker, less sweet but with a pleasant fruity bitterness, maybe cassis? To me the roast is still a bit too prominent, but this might change with time.A high quality tea,not as easy accessible as the Bai Ruixiang, perhaps the entrance to a rabbits hole...
