This tea cake is a tribute to the historic "green mark" tea product from the last century, originally produced by the Xiaguan Tea Factory, which operated under the CNNP.

It is crafted from select spring tea leaves harvested from ancient trees in seven distinct tea regions: Ban Zhang, Yi Wu, Ge Deng, Jing Mai, Bing Dao, Yan Zi Tou, and Wu Liang Shan.

These tea leaves were meticulously aged in Xiaguan's high-altitude warehouse in Dali, allowing for a natural evolution of flavors. The blending process is guided by Xiaguan's unique expertise and recipe.

The composition of this tea cake is carefully balanced:

  • Ban Zhang and Yan Zi Tou leaves contribute 30% of the blend, offering strength and a robust tea flavor.
  • Bing Dao and Yi Wu leaves also make up 30% of the blend, imparting sweetness and a resilient softness.
  • Jing Mai and Ge Deng leaves constitute another 30%, lending an elegant orchid fragrance.
  • Finally, Wu Liang Shan leaves add the remaining 10%, infusing a distinct wild mountain flavor.

Each region's contribution is harmoniously integrated, resulting in a tea cake that not only commemorates a historical legacy but also offers a complex and satisfying tea experience.

Very very good

Really good tea.
I gave 4 stars (maybe 4.5) only because for my taste it is better than the 2021 hong yin cake, but slightly inferior in taste and duration to the 2022 hong yin tuo, I used these XG products as a reference because they are the last ones I tasted . However, it is still a cake worth trying and enjoying.
