Product Overview
Harvested from mist-shrouded, high-altitude peaks during the first flush of 2026, this "Yun Wu" tea embodies the cooling essence of its namesake. The constant "Cloud and Fog" environment naturally shades the tea bushes, slowing their growth and concentrating amino acids. The result is a tea of exceptional "thickness" and vitality, meticulously processed into tiny, dark-green curls.
Sensory Profile
-
Appearance: Tight, heavy, and spiraled threads with a subtle silver luster. The leaves are small but dense, a hallmark of slow-growth mountain tea.
-
Aroma: A crisp, high fragrance characterized by fresh-cut grass and toasted chestnut, underpinned by a deep, misty floral note.
-
Palate: The liquor is bright and yellowish-green. It offers a "thick" mouthfeel with a savory umami sweetness that reflects its high nutrient content.
-
Finish: A remarkably smooth and cooling aftertaste. The huigan is clean and persistent, providing a refreshing sensation in the throat.
Storage & Shelf Life
-
Storage: Store in an airtight, opaque container. Refrigeration (0–5°C) is required to preserve the delicate mountain aromatics and prevent the "Cloud" essence from oxidizing.
-
Shelf Life: 18 months.
Brewing Recommendations
-
Water Quality: Mineral or soft filtered water is preferred to highlight the tea's natural sweetness.
-
Temperature: 80–85°C (176–185°F). Avoid boiling water, which will destroy the tender buds and result in an astringent cup.
-
Method (Middle-Drop): 1. Fill a glass or porcelain Gaiwan 1/3 full with hot water. 2. Add 3–4g of tea and gently swirl to "awaken" the leaves. 3. Fill the remainder of the vessel.
-
Steeping: Enjoy the evolving sweetness across 3–4 infusions.
