This cake utilizes "Bai Mu Dan" grade leaves, which were harvested in 2015 and then processed into this tea in 2018, giving it a notable aging period that contributes to its unique characteristics.

The cake structure is relatively loose, facilitating easy separation for brewing. Upon opening, it releases a delightful floral fragrance that hints at the quality of the tea. When brewed, it offers a smooth and mellow taste with an underlying sweetness, consistent with well-aged white teas.

This tea provides a rich body, enveloping the palate with a lingering flavor that resonates throughout the mouth. The experience is both soothing and comforting, making it ideal for a reflective tea session. Furthermore, the aftertaste is particularly notable for its variation and longevity, adding layers of complexity to each sip. This Bai Mu Dan cake is a testament to the art of tea aging, providing a profound and enjoyable tea-drinking experience.

Amazing White Tea Experience

This is a complex and full flavoured white tea that keeps on giving. This is my first cake of aged white tea and is does not disappoint. I have a Jingmai midnight white that I am aging myself and the profiles are both very similar.

There are some almost black tea undertones, although muted and not overbearing, giving a well rounded, full flavour. The tea to me is not so floral and does not have a fresh leaf taste at all, instead it stands completely on its own.

The tea is immensely warming and comforting. I have kept it in the protected bag it came in, in the dark a dry, neutral environment to avoid any degradation in taste and flavour- so far so good!
