Tea Name: Tai Ping Hou Kui (also known as Taiping Houkui or Kowkui)

Origin: This exquisite tea is cultivated in the revered Huangshan Mountains of Anhui Province, China. Its origins trace back to three primary regions within Taiping County (now integrated into Huangshan District, Huangshan City) - Houkou, Hougang, and Yanjia, lending the tea its distinguished name, Taiping Houkui.

Harvest: The 2023 Early Spring Harvest. (Despite the current date being late April, this harvest adheres to traditional classifications, remaining within the early spring category.)

Grade: Premium A+++ Grade

Distinctive Characteristics:

• The leaves of Tai Ping Hou Kui are uniquely flat and elongated, featuring a fine array of silver hairs.
• It is renowned for its orchid-like fragrance, encapsulating a sense of freshness.
• The tea presents a clear, luminous infusion.
• Its taste is characterized by a smooth, sweet profile, complemented by a delightful Huigan (a lingering sweetness).
• An excellent choice for both daily enjoyment and for those seeking to elevate their tea experience.

Storage Instructions: For optimal freshness, store in a refrigerator.

Shelf Life: Approximately 18 months.

Recommended Brewing Water:

• Preferably utilize mineral water or properly filtered tap water.
• Optimal brewing temperature is around 90°C, with a minimum of 85°C. (Note: Boiling water should be avoided.)

Brewing Guide for Hou Kui:

1. Place approximately 5 grams of Tai Ping Hou Kui leaves into a pre-warmed cup (similar to the one depicted in the accompanying photo).
2. Gently pour hot water along the inner wall of the cup until it reaches roughly 2cm in height.
3. Allow the tea leaves to partially absorb the water before gradually adding more, ensuring the water level aligns with the tea leaves.
4. Once the leaves are fully immersed, fill the cup to 80% capacity with hot water.
5. The tea is now prepared for your enjoyment.
