MengKu RongShi "Qiao Mu Wang"

I had the 2016 version of this tea, which was one of my favorites. This tea, althoug much younger, had all that I was expecting from a MengKu tea. The leaves smell like rosin and tamarind, the tea soup is medium and brothy. The tea tasted like sour sop, poached pears and candied apricots with minimal but present astringency. It had a minty cooling, pomelo zest-like aftertaste. I usually use 5g of leaf/100ml cup, and on average it lasts me 8-9 strong brews with boiling water. I usually leave the spent leaves in a cup with boiling water for half anhour and even that produces a final, fruity, mellow brew.
