I absolutely loved this tea. I’m very new gong fu brewing, but this tea is really something special. It has a very bright flavor, and it is so floral it was almost comparable to the da bai ya. I wish I had purchased more!

This tea is very nice and not just for the price. It is actually one of my favourite ripes in my current rotation.

The tea consists of small nuggets with burnt umber colour. The tea material smells like cinnamon and milk chocolate. After a quick rinse, the leaves took up ebony colour and they smelled like a musty cellar, almonds, decomposing wood and cocoa butter. The tea soup was amber at first, but then became deep ruby with thick and oily texture.
The tea soup tasted like condensed milk, cocoa, salted caramel, with some fungal, decaying wood in the background. The empty cup smelled like cocoa nibs. The tea had a sweet, slightly medicinal finish.
I used 7g leaf in a 100ml gaiwan and blasted it with as close to boiling water as one can. The cha tou shined in it. The first 3 brews were mild and sweet, but the next 10 were constant, thick, muddy and woody, just how I like it.
This tea is perfect for a modern, snowless winter afternoon, it just warms the body and mind.

I bought this set "Chang Tai Hao - Meng Hai Qiao Bing" because I want to try "Fu" from Ban Zhang but end up prefer "Ji" and "Xiang" the most. Their character match with my taste. Highly Recommend!

The tea leaves had chocolate leaves with rusty buds that smelled like old wood and milk chocolate. After a quick rinse, the leaves smelled like wild cherries, fresh pastry and blackberries. The brew was brown velvet with a crimson tinge; it was thick and brothy in texture. The tea soup was bitter, like cocoa nibs, ground coffee, it had no astringency. At the back, there was some old wood, fungal, mushroom puree taste, but this was only an undertone. Moreover, the brew had a slight sourness with a reduced citrus aroma. The empty cup smelled like allspice and caramel.
I've used 7g in a 100ml gaiwan with boiling water. I could brew 8-9 times without major taste change, after which the tea became sweet and mellow.

I found a new favourite shou.

Not much to say here. It's Xiao Fa; lower grade leaves, stems etc with a nice slightly lighter than full fermentation. This single tuo was very well stored and had a nice character. A tiny bit more age and these will be perfect.

The dry tea leaves smelled like fresh bread and cranberry purée. This transformed into a bilberry and ground coffee smell after a quick rinse. The texture of the brew was thick and velvety smooth, with maroon and titian brown tinge. The tea soup was clean and bright, with hints of dark fruits, old wood and carrot juice notes. The empty cup had a gentle vanilla scent. The aftertaste had a slightly metallic finish with rum notes and cocoa sweetness.

I used 7g of material in a 100ml gaiwan with boiling water and I could infuse it 6-8 times.

I was looking for a dark, chocolatey, murky shou, so in that regard, I failed with this tea. But it delivered a completely different experience, both fruity and slightly earthy. Considering the price and the taste, this is a win for me.

I am surprised on how easy this cake is to break compared to other Xiaguans. I have no doubt that it’s made from old tea leaves given the number of infusions I get from it. This tea is powerful and a good substitute to a LaoBanZhang in terms of body feel and a little bit less in term of flavor. If you want an agressive qi this is a good option. Thank you KTM

The tea steeps quite nicely in hot water. It has a great fragrance and taste while keeping me energized and happy. I can drink this all day, which I do when not at work.

Very bright and strong taste with notes of citrus and berries. Slight sourness in the aftertaste. Flavour from the teapot is deep and fruity. Nice choice for the aged sheng pu-erh enthusiasts.

Very good tea! Robust yet smooth, with an almost black tea flavor

This tea took me by surprise! After the second brew it opened revealing notes of banana peel and green leaf vegetables. Great texture in the mouth and grounding cha qi. Might give it a go to buy the whole cake.
