Using aged golden tea bud harvested from Dazhai town, Yun county, Lincang tea region in 2010 year and pressed into cake in 2020 year.

Medium to heavy level fermented.

High ratio of young tea bud with golden tea hairs.

Relative looseness in whole cake.

Clean, natural, smooth and mellow.

Enjoyable taste feeling.

Guangzhou dry and clean storage.

This is a tea I would like to drink from morning to night. Well recommended for old and new drinkers.

Great for the price

Pretty good. Didn't detect any wet pile taste. You can be very loose with the brewing parameters. You won't get that many infusions out of it, but it is cheap.

Missing a teacake

Disappointed due to my order missing a teacake.

Hi, Kevin,

Thanks for your last order.
But as we have discussed before, if we missed a cake, the total weight should be quite different showing on system of China Post considering the total weight of this parcel. When we showed you the screenshot of this order on the dashboard of our shipping cost charge system of China Post, you haven’t given us any evidential explanation, like the total weight is different or any others.
Though we have been quite careful when pack each parcel, but if there is any miss, surely please feel free to let us know and the responsibility is on our side.
Again thanks for your order and looking forward to your confirmation.
Best regards.
John

Pleasant Cake

KTM recommended me this cake when I was searching for something suitable. For the price, it is phenomenal. The cake itself has lots of beautiful gold buds, and comes apart easily. However- I do get some amount of dust/small tea particles when breaking this apart. It could be the cake or just how I am working pieces off, not sure. Lid smell is rich, heavy buttermilk with some hints of caramel and a dark chocolate tang in the background. Taste is not overly complex or dynamic in the mouth, but very delicious nonetheless. That caramel and dark chocolate persist, riding on a sort of spicy, damp wood taste. As brews go on, I find that it becomes slightly more "fresh" and almost herbal. Leaving the palate feeling clean, but this doesn't linger for long. It is most certainly a great daily drinking puerh, and at the price point it's could easily be drunk all day. I can't be thankful enough for being pointed toward this cake!
