Produced in 2020 and released in June 2023, this tea has aged for three years in the Xia Guan warehouse before entering the market.

Origin: Made from old tree leaves sourced from Ban Pen, a location adjacent to Ban Zhang village.

Characteristics:

Appearance: Clear and tight tea threads with plump young buds, pressed by stone mill.
Liquor: Golden with brightness.
Aroma: Refreshing floral fragrance combined with honey-like sweetness.
Taste: Thick and rich with a good variation in flavor. Excellent Huigan (returning sweetness) and a notable amount of saliva production.
Aftertaste: Lingering and satisfying.

Storage: Naturally stored in Guangzhou.

Very good

I was curious about this cake, it turned out to be pleasant with intact leaves and a very light pressing at the edges and stronger in the center, the flavor is delicate, the liqueur is clear, for my tastes perhaps it still needs a little maturation, but for its excellent price and general quality it is worth buying at least one sample.

Great flavor

I am surprised on how easy this cake is to break compared to other Xiaguans. I have no doubt that it’s made from old tea leaves given the number of infusions I get from it. This tea is powerful and a good substitute to a LaoBanZhang in terms of body feel and a little bit less in term of flavor. If you want an agressive qi this is a good option. Thank you KTM
