2005 Dayi

Puerh tea made by DaYi (Menghai Tea Factory) in 2005, the year after the factory became a private company. Most of it is shou (ripe), with one sheng (raw) cake.

The sheng cake is 7542 from batch 501, the factory's best known raw recipe, sold in the Bai Bu Tiao (White Strip) and Chang Gui (General) versions at 357g. V93 is a 250g shou tuo from batch 501. The 7262 cake of 357g from batch 503 and the 7562 brick of 250g use recipes from the 1970s.

Two recipes began in 2005: 0532, a 200g cake of finer 3rd grade leaves, and 0562, a 357g cake. Jin Zhen Bai Lian (Golden Needle White Lotus) is a 250g shou cake rich in golden buds. With about twenty years of storage, these teas have a smooth, mellow taste, and the ripe cakes make an easy daily tea. King Tea Mall is an online shop based in Guangzhou, China.
