Last time roasted (the 4th) was in 12th. Sep. 2018 year. From then on, this tea will be only refired when it get back some greenness in future months. Till now, it had been roasted twice by electrical heater and twice by charcoal.
SHUI JIN GUI is one of the Si Da Ming Cong(四大名枞 the most famous 4 kinds of wuyi yancha oolong. Another 3 kinds are BAI JI GUAN, TIE LUO HAN and BAN TIAN YAO. This tea is made from high quality tea materials and gradually roasted to this level of medium-heavy fired stage.
A lovely, delicious tea. Sweet, fruity, roasty, aromatic, and very smooth, with a cool, lingering hui gan after drinking. Very nicely balanced, the delicacy of the tea is offset by the medium-heavy charcoal roasting, and the strength and persistence of the mouthfeel. One of the best of John’s selection of Spring 2018 WuYi YanCha oolongs.
