First of all: I like compressed teas! Picking a piece of tea from them is fun to me. And a tea cake is something to grab, literally.
The dry nose did not convince me.
But the brewed tea I find nicely balanced, and my first association was a coconut flavor I did not expect. Of course, it's not really coconut flavor, it's just my impression.
I don't brew it gong fu, just 5 g per roughly 200 ml, letting it steep for a minute. I can repeat this four times, and all four infusions I find pleasant.
A solid tea with a welcome flavour twist. Four well earned stars.
For the price, I recommend it. It is good value, in my opinion.
And since it is a cake, it is even more fun to me :D
Red tea in cake. Strong and pleasant, not bitter, I can pour 3 times, good value tea for price.
