Character:

Zhu Ye Qing is produced in Emei mountain located in Sichuan province. Tea plantation concentrates on elevation from 600m to 1500m. It is harvested before Qingming around the beginning of April. This is also the best season for harvesting this tea including many other kinds tea though this varies slightly during different tea and tea region.  The process after picking has 3 main steps including “Killing Green”, “Rolling” and “Baking”.  The tea leaf is near straight with flatness like bamboo leaf.  Green and smooth appearance. Tea liquid has greenness and soup like thickness.  Refreshing taste flavor and lingering sweetness from aftertaste.

Recommendation of brewing water:

  1. Mineral water or filtered running water.
  2. Temperature is near 90 Celsius and not lower than 85 Celsius. (Too hot like boiling water should be avoided. )
